South Sands self-catering apartments

 A fantastic feature of our apartments is that they are all different. There is something for everyone, whether it’s their shape, size, interior decoration or breathtaking, ever changing views that you will never tire of. There are four sea view apartments, and one valley facing apartment, however it’s large patio area makes up for this.

The apartments have been individually designed and furnished to a very high standard in a simple and minimalistic way, whilst taking into consideration and playing on their stunning marine surroundings and the New England theme of the hotel. Each apartment has a relaxing lounge-dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There are two spacious bedrooms in each apartment, with the option of an extra double sofa bed if required (additional charges apply). Please let us know in advance and we will put the extra bedding in the apartment ready for you.

The lounge-dining areas contain two sofas each, beanbags and chairs, including personalised feature pieces by Quba Sails, Lexington cushions, stunning oak block coffee tables, slate tablemats, shell pinboards, wooden birds, digital TV with wall mounted DVD/CD player. There is sophisticated mood lighting and audio throughout the apartments. The Driftwood style dining table is combined with Lloyd loom dining chairs to seat eight comfortably. Black and white photography, tide cloaks, striped curtains and stunning sea and sky scape paintings by Joanna Davis (www.joannadavis.co.uk ) adorn the walls.

The apartments come with fully-equipped hand-made kitchens, that are of a ‘chef quality’ standard and are complete with cream fitted cupboards, black granite worktops, a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave/oven, oven, grill, hob and extractor hood. The open plan layout of the apartments makes them a perfect setting for a dinner party or family supper with a view and means you can all enjoy the evening together. Apartments 1, 2, 4 and 5 also have varying sized breakfast bars with fun director chair style stools.

There are 2 bedrooms in each apartment. There are predominantly 2 colour schemes throughout the bedrooms, light blue, beige and navy, and red white and blue. White furniture, driftwood mirrors, wooden birds, and boats, Lexington throws and Joanna Davis’s paintings transport the outside in and bring the rooms to life. Apartments 1, 3 and 4 have one king sized bed and then one zip and link king or super king sized bed, which can be separated into single beds. Apartments 2 and 5 have one king or super king sized bed and two single beds.

All the apartments have their own balconies with tables and chairs. However, they are all differing sizes and have different views and furniture so if you would rather a sea view apartment, 2 and 3 are for you. However if you want to be able to sunbathe, barbeque and eat out on your terrace as a family, apartment one might be more up your street.

The apartments are fully equipped with the essentials for your stay, these include; bed linen, bath towels, hand towels, kitchen equipment, tea towels, cleaning equipment and products, and a range of Molton Brown toiletries. We also provide, a unique, south sands sailcloth windbreak, information leaflets for nearby attractions and walks, local information including emergency numbers, opening times, local caterers and an apartment manual and feedback form.

The apartments have an electric boiler, thermostat controlled central heating, sophisticated mood lighting installation, sound system, DVD/CD, wireless access and portable telephone (additional charges apply).

Each apartment has security and fire alarm equipment fitted.

Z beds, Travel cots, linen and highchairs are available upon request. (Additional charges apply.)

Apartments 1, 4 and 5 have wooden floors in the lounge-dining area and therefore are available for let by those who wish to bring their dogs on holiday. There is an outside tap to give them a quick rinse after playing on the beach. We ask that you bring their own bedding, bowls, towels etc and comply with our policy on dogs.

The rate quoted is for accommodation only. Whilst in residence, the South Sands Hotel facilities are at your disposal, including the beachside Restaurant, and The Bar. Please note, if you would like to eat in our restaurant with its stunning views across the Salcombe Estuary then prior booking is essential during peak season.

 Terms & Conditions

 A £150.00 deposit is required to confirm the reservation, and the remaining balance is payable a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your arrival. If the booking is at short notice, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Cancellation can be made by telephone, but must be confirmed in writing.
